Rates for legalization and Apostille:
40 euro for legalization at the ministry of justice and/or foreign affairs (Apostille and legalization fees not included)
80 euro if there are also legalizations with the consulate. For waiting times for more than 45 minutes with the ministry of foreign affairs I charge an additional 10 euro (unless agreed otherwise)
Apostille fees and legalization fees: 20 euro per document (only valid with a stamp from the court, signature of the major or town councilor and notary). As all consulates do not apply the same rate and delivery period, you can request an estimate from me via email, so that I can give you the most up-to-date rate.
Legalization:
Legalization proves the authenticity, after verification, of the signature and/or the stamp on the document that is legalized. It also confirms that the person who signed the document was competent to do so. The proof of this authenticity makes it possible to use the document in another country than that in which it was issued. In other words the legalization allows you to use a Belgian document abroad or to use a foreign document in Belgium or in another country.
